Episode 6502

Lassiters Complex/Erinsborough News
Summer asks Bradley if she can pitch a story for the paper. Bradley agrees she should. They walk into the office and he asks the staff for news pitches. Everyone stands in silence, so he hands over to Summer who suggests they write an article in the local hero’s section about Teresa Chan, a Paralympian who has won the gold in sailing. Bradley loves the idea.

Number 28
Summer is doing research when Tash enters, elated about how right Chris and Aidan are for each other. Tash starts looking through Summer’s stuff. Summer says she’s doing lots of ground work to increase her chances of being able to write the article that she pitched earlier.

Charlie’s
Bradley and Howard are chatting about football when Summer interrupts. She tells him about the ideas she has for the story, showing him all the research she’s done. Bradley thinks it’s great work, and it will really help Howard, who will be writing the story.

Harold’s
Summer joins Susan and complains about going to a lot of effort for the Teresa Chan story, but then Bradley gave it to someone else. Susan says it was Bradley’s decision who wrote the article. Summer tells Susan that Bradley made up the quotes for the VET article on Lucas. He just chats to people and gets the gist, he doesn’t care. Susan is shocked.

Erinsborough News
Bradley gets Summer a coffee, and asks if she’s cool with him giving the story to Howard. He tells her that Howard has covered Paralympics before, and his brother has been a wheelchair all his life, so Howard would have good insights for the article. Bradley appreciates all the work she’s done and asks her out for drinks after work. Summer realises the mistake she’s made, just as Susan calls Bradley into her office. Summer tries to speak to Susan before Bradley heads in, but fails. Summer beats herself up over what she’s done, (we can tell because she mouths the ‘f’ word.)

Charlie’s
Summer apologises to Bradley for what she said to Susan. Bradley says he’s okay with what he does and how he does it, and he’s disappointed in what she did. Running to Susan was childish, and she should have talked to him before running to the boss. She says she’s sorry, and so is he, he thought she wanted his help to be a better journalist. He heads back to the group from work, Summer thinks about what she did for a moment before leaving.
