Growing increasingly impatient with the Commission’s lack of results, the Attorney General, Lincoln Priest gives Janet an ultimatum: resign as Royal Commissioner or have her reputation ruined by the State Corruption Commission.

Janet refuses, but fortuitously for her, they quickly solve Todd Wilson’s murder — a tragedy of errors involving Simon Hamilton, Robbie , Jane Carter, and a 3D-printed handgun.

Meanwhile, the fight over the embryo is headed for the Court of Appeal, where Deborah Larson mounts a challenge to the original decision to grant Janet ownership. The appeal is overruled.

As the hunt for Ash’s killer continues, a series of events sees the suspicion on Bao Long mount. Bianca volunteers as Janet’s minder, and the close living quarters lead to a new level of intimacy between them.
